75% of people buy the wrong digital camera

people buy the wrong digital camera – When I teach a digital photography class, more than 75% of students come with a camera that is indicated by the vendor.

guess what? They soon found out that it was wrong for them. This can be a very costly mistake. So the big question is how do I know which one is right for me and which one is best for me?

This is one of the first things you need to know about the camera the seller is trying to sell you – how long does it take for the camera to turn on and take photos? In the consumer market, this can range from 1 to 5 seconds, usually up to 3 seconds. How long does it take the camera to focus on the subject? (Not for taking pictures) Most cameras take a maximum of 1 to 3 seconds on a 1 second signal. How long does it take for the camera to actually take a photo after pressing the shutter button? Again, most cameras take between 1 and 3 seconds, this is called shutter lag time. It now takes up to 5 seconds to activate the photo and up to 3 seconds to focus and up to 3 seconds to actually take the photo.

On a cheap, but not cheap camera, it can take up to 9 seconds to take a photo. You can say, “Yes, but I’m leaving my camera.” Think how frustrating it is now to buy a new $400-$500 digital camera to find out if you can hold your baby while the candles go out because it takes a lot of time to blow out the candles. 1 second to focus and another 2 seconds to take a photo. What was the result? A child is sitting in front of a cake with a black candle burning.

Can you adjust the white balance on your camera? What is white balance?

60% of digital cameras don’t have this adjustment, because it’s not as good as advertising, you have to buy not only “auto white balance” but also manual adjustment.

Does your camera have different exposure modes?

Vulnerabilities Does the camera only take light readings? Cheap cameras only do well with reading, which can be a little tiring. A good camera has a “point”, “center scale” and “matrix” metering system that allows you to take the best photos in any lighting condition.

When buying a digital camera, buy it because it is not a video camera. A student showed me all the features of the camera and that’s why they are so expensive – the only thing that doesn’t work well is the stop!

You can get a lot out of your new digital camera! You just need to differentiate more with the help you give others.
